Step 1: beat butter and sugars
Step 2: Add large egg
Step 3: Mix all dry ingredients; flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa
Step 4: Add red powdered food coloring to sugar+egg mixture
Step 5: Add dry ingredients to red butter+sugar/egg mixture and mix
Step 6: mix until dough no longer sticks to sides of bowl and set aside
Step 7: Add powdered sugar, cream cheese, and flour into a mixing bowl to make cream cheese filing
Step 8: Add vanilla and mix until all ingredients combine
Step 9: place cream cheese filling in a piping bag
Step 10: scoop dough onto baking sheet and flatten
Step 11: fill flat cookie dough with cream cheese and close
Step 12: (preheat oven 350 F and bake 15 minutes) If baking immediately, freeze for 15 minutes and bake, if baking the next day, allow to thaw from freezer 30 minutes before baking
