Churro Cheesecake Bars

churrobar

I’m a fan of lazy desserts. Easy desserts. 3 ingredient desserts. And today we are going to make this super easy dessert and you may even have all the ingredients at home!

Let me preface by saying that I made this over the holiday and my main reason was because I needed something to bring to Christmas dinner that was easy because, let’s be real, i’m exhausted at the end of the year of making elaborate cakes and desserts. This dessert fit the bill of what I was looking for.

The smell of cinnamon and sugar with the Hawaiian crescent rolls really reminds me of fall, winter, and churros!

Ingredients

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 TBSP cinnamon

2 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, room temp

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

2 (8 oz) cans Pillsbury crescent rolls (I used Hawaiian flavored crescent rolls)

Directions

  1. Mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar with 2 TBSP cinnamon in a bowl, spray one 9×13 pan with non-stick spray and use the cinnamon sugar mixture to cover the entire pan.
  2. Place the 2 packages of cream cheese, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 egg, and vanilla into a bowl and use a hand mixer to beat these ingredients for approximately 5 minutes or until the ingredients come together.
  3. Unroll the crescent rolls into a lightly floured surface and press the seams together as to form a whole sheet, do this one crescent tube at a time.
  4. Place one of the crescent sheets at the bottom of the prepared pan, place the cream cheese mixture into the pan and spread it evenly, cover with the second crescent sheet and sprinkle the remainder of the cinnamon sugar on top of the crescent sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until the top crescent sheet is golden brown
