Kit Kat Dessert Brownies

step by step video

This recipe started out as me wanting to make brownie cookies, basically using brownie mix, just like we did with out cake mix cookies. I thought it would be fairly easy and it really all worked out in my head. I even followed the exact instructions for the cake mix cookies. And I quickly found out this was a fail! Here are a few photos for your viewing pleasure.

So I still hadn’t given up on this gooey mess, so after I peeked into the oven and saw these, I quickly sprayed a cake pan with non-stick spray and proceeded to quickly scoop these blobs into the cake pan. I continued to bake this into what is now brownies!

Kit Kat Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

1 box of brownie mix

2/3 cups vegetable oil

1/4 cup whole milk (or any milk you would like to substitute)

2 large eggs

1 bag of raspberry creme Kit Kats

Directions

  1. Place brownie mix, vegetable oil, milk, and eggs in a large mixing bowl and mix them using a spatula or wooden spoon (you can also use a stand mixer), mix until all the ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Leave your brownie mix to the side and peel all your chocolate, once all the chocolates are peeled, cut them into small pieces, leave some of them larger than others, I used 1 1/2 cups of Kit Kat pieces for my brownies.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350 F, while your oven is heating prepared a baking dish, I used a small 7×11 Pyrex Baking dish, lightly spray it with non-stick baking spray.
  4. Take the Kit Kat pieces and pour them over the brownie batter, and lightly mix the pieces into the batter as not to break all the pieces.
  5. Bake for 28-31 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
