Sugar Sheet Cake

Materials

Black Flexfrost

CMC Powder 1/2 tbsp

Light Corn Syrup 5 tbsp

Sanding Sugar

Diamond Dust 

Super Gold 

Dehydrator  

Non-stick mat  

Spatulas

Process

  1. In a bowl: add sugar + 5 tablespoons corn syrup + CMC powder (or xylose powder)
  2. Mix until your obtain a grainy gel like consistency
  3. Spray your flex frost sheet with water or Paper Potion from Icing Images, this will help your mixture to stick to the sheet.
  4. Spread your sugar mixture onto the flex frost sheet, use a non-stick mat on top and a rolling pin to help you roll this a bit flatter
  5. Dehydrate at 100 F for 30 minutes, if you don’t have a dehydrator you can use a blow dryer to dry your sheet
